An off topic question: Have you thought of organizing some kind of open threads? People who gather here have probably read more than average about archeology and anthropology. That means that we could maybe help each other with reading tips. I often search unsuccessfully for different topics in anthropological research and it would be great if there were other people to ask.

Sometimes I have seen anthropology questions in the ACX open threads, but in general they don't get many answers. Maybe there would be more answers in a place where everyone is interested in such stuff.

It's interesting that eventually Attila's march on Rome was said to be hindered by disease among his warriors. Likewise, shortly after 446, we find mention of a great plague in Britain. Might it thus be possible that a very mobile army in western Europe (with very low standards of hygiene), may have spread disease throughout this part of the empire?
